We are located in Downtown Syracuse and our mortgage is fully paid. We added a new roof in November of 2009 and will soon completely paint our main sanctuary. This large facility consists of three levels which include a large kitchen and fellowship hall, a nursery, a chapel, and a sanctuary with a balcony for seating of 600 people. We are a faithful membership and believe that under the direction of God, a leader will be sent that has the ability to fill every seat. We believe in being visible in the community through outreach, evangelism, and witnessing. We are located across from the Onondaga County Justice Center and our membership is active in the Jail Ministry. Our Puppet Ministry has ministered throughout the state including: the Children’s Hospital at University Hospital, at community centers, and for a variety of events across Syracuse. Our Macedonia Cadre and Women’s Ministry are involved with local women’s shelters, providing clothing, hats, coats, and Christmas gifts for those in need. They also assisted in sending supplies and clothing to the Hurricane Katrina survivors and the entire church recently made a financial donation to the earthquake victims of Haiti.
The Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church is a loving church family that believes in fellowship. The church has developed loving relationships with churches throughout the New York State area. The Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church is a part of the Northeastern Baptist Association and we work diligently with the Association Moderator and all Departments within the Association. The church is also a part of the Empire Baptist Missionary State Convention and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
